25 November 2023 | The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) participated in 6th Ibagiw Creative Festival at the Baguio City’s Convention and Cultural Center.
The festival is a celebration of the City’s designation as a UNESCO Creative City for Crafts and Folk Arts. With this year’s theme, “Create Change. Change Creates” underscores the growing and evolving creativity of the city in the said arts, and highlights a revitalized Baguio city.
During the closing ceremony, NCIP Chairperson Jennifer Pia Sibug-Las provided her keynote speech; further the Chairperson participated in a dance ritual together with Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples (ICCs/IPs) who attended the festival; present also were Mayor Benjamin Magalong and other guests.
