CANADIAN EMBASSY DELEGATES VISIT NCIP | 07 August 2023

The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) Chairperson hosted a coordination visit of the Canadian Embassy Officers at NCIP Central Office in Quezon City.

The meeting was geared to explore programs and funding facilities that the Canadian Embassy may offer in view of Canada’s country experience in upholding the rights of Indigenous Peoples. The meeting was also a learning opportunity for NCIP to use Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation Framework as a model in implementing the healing and reconciliation initiatives of the agency.

To cap the meeting, the Chairperson provides Project Epanaw Coffee Table Books (CTB), 2022 Annual Accomplishment Report, and poster of 11 Building Blocks framework to the Canadian delegation.
