Coordination Empowerment

City of San Fernando, Pampanga—The NCIP Region 3 headed by Regional Director, Atty. Roland P. Calde conducted a courtesy visit to Regional Director Wilfredo M. Cruz of Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Regional Office 3 to promote coordination for the welfare of Indigenous Peoples (IPs) in the Region. RD Cruz said that BFAR and NCIP needs to strengthen their coordination to each other to address the sustainability of implemented projects of BFAR such as provision of spearguns and banka for fishing and raising tilapia fingerlings as source of livelihood of some of our IPs/ICCs. Likewise, RD Calde proposed for the forging of Memorandum of Agreement to strengthen the ties between the two NGAs. BFAR will continue to support the IPs in Region 3 for livelihood sustainability in coordination and with the help of NCIP Region 3. As a token of appreciation, RD Calde provided copies of Project Epanaw Coffee Table Books to BFAR Region 3 for them to be able to see and more appreciate the beauty and majestic wonder of our very own IPs.
