The Department of Information and Communications Technology – Luzon Cluster 2 Pampanga Provincial Head, Mr. Edriel Miranda, conducted a courtesy visit and presented the Tech4ED Program to the NCIP R3 management, headed by Regional Director, Atty. Roland P. Calde. Tech4ED which stands for Technology Empowerment for Education, Employment, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development, is a program that provides ICT-enabled services to communities that have minimal access or no access to ICT and government services. The DICT pledged to support the Indigenous Peoples in coordination with National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 3 and set up an ICT Hub that can be used by the IP community. Initially, both offices agreed to put up one (1) ICT Hub in Pampanga IP Community and one (1) in Nueva Ecija. Continuous coordination by the agencies will be made to ensure proper delivery of services to the selected IP communities.
