DIGITAL INCLUSION FOR PAMPANGA IP YOUTH!
Porac, Pampanga – Thirty-three (33) Ayta Mag-antsi and Ayta Mag-indi IP Youth from CADT 123 successfully finished their 5-day digital literacy training held at Barangay Inararo, Porac, Pampanga from July 18 to 22, 2022!
Said training is another pioneering development partnership between the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 3 – Pampanga Community Service Center and the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Pampanga.
Taking a leap from the successful opening of the Porac Indigenous Peoples Technology for Economic Development (Tech4ED) Center last May 2022, this pilot batch of IP Youth Digital Literacy Training is aimed at capacitating the IPs of CADT 123 in fully managing their Tech4ED Center through the IP Youth.
In today’s highly digital world, this convergence project will open more doors of opportunity to the IP Youth by providing necessary digital skills, access to the internet and digital technologies, and connectivity to the digital world.
This pilot training was also made possible through the cooperation and support of the Porac Municipal Local Government Unit through its representative Mr. Relito Laxaman, Inararo LGU headed by Punong Barangay Benzon King, and the Office of the Municipal IPMR Hon. Edwin Abuque.
NCIP Pampanga Community Service Center would like to express its gratitude to DICT Pampanga head, Mr. Edriel Miranda, together with his staff Engr. Nerve De Guzman, Engr. Randel Kenneth Fajardo, Mr. Marlon Feliciano, and Mr. Michael Arangorin!
The IP Youth Digital Literacy Training will continue this August 2022 at a new site within CADT 123.
