
Empowering Indigenous People (IP) Youth through Digital Literacy
() – together with the – spearheaded the community-based training, bringing ICT equipment such as laptops to provide a maximum hands-on learning experience to the .
The – , in partnership with the and , has launched the Digital Literacy Training for the IP Youth of Porac, Pampanga.
The training was launched on July 18, 2022 and ran until July 22, 2022 at Brgy. Inararo, Porac, Pampanga. The activity seeks to provide a basic training course on computer and Internet essentials, computer hardware, networking and troubleshooting, document processing, electronic spreadsheet, and multimedia presentation.
A total of 35 IP Youths graduated from the Digital Literacy Training.
Narrowing the gap of the digital divide would enable the indigenous youth to become more proficient in the use of technology and digital information. It is essential that these can also be received, understood and used by indigenous people.
