FLORIDABLANCA IP COOP RECEIVES 4Ks-IADDA COMPONENTS ANEW!

Mawakat – After receiving the initial livestock component (500 chickens) last June 14, the Ayta Mag-indi Mt. Ginilan Agricultural Cooperative (MGAC) received the crop production component of the “Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran Para sa Kababayang Katutubo” (4Ks) through Integrated Ancestral Domain Development Approach (IADDA) last June 17, 2022 at Barangay Mawakat, Floridablanca, Pampanga.
Witnessing the turn-over of the second component of the 4Ks-IADDA were National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 3 Director Atty. Roland Calde, Floridablanca Ayta Ancestral Domains Federation, Inc. (FAADFI) Chairperson Ric Guiao, Mawakat Punong Barangay Marilou Bacani, and development partners from JCI Manila. Mr. Memito Luyun III, DA R3 4Ks Coordinator, and NCIP Pampanga Chief Kevin Fonseca led the turn-over.
MGAC members received the following during the turn-over:
-250 seedlings of mango
-250 seedlings of rambutan
-250 seedlings of lanzones
-40 pouches of seeds of tomato
-40 pouches of seeds of eggplant
-40 pouches of seeds of squash
-40 pouches of seeds of ampalaya
-40 pouches of seeds of okra
-40 pouches of seeds of pechay
-40 pouches of seeds of sili (panigang)
-40 pouches of seeds of hot sili
-25 units of knapsack sprayer
-10 bags complete fertilizers
MGAC Chairperson Orlando Bacani expressed his gratitude to Department of Agriculture Region III and vowed that the assistance they received will be taken care and further develop by its members.
The turnover of the second 4Ks-IADDA component for the MGAC coincided with the inauguration of the Floridablanca Indigenous Peoples Heritage Information Center – Ancestral Domains Management Office which will also become the headquarters of the IP Cooperative.
