Porac, Pampanga – Less than a week after its successful launching in Villa Maria, Porac, the Ayta Mag-antsi Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous Peoples received the initial livestock provision under the Department of Agriculture – Philippines’ “Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran Para sa Kababayang Katutubo” also known as 4Ks.
The community received 450 chickens through the IP cooperative, Ugnayan sa Pag-unlad ng Tarik Inc., headed by its Chairman Verlinda P. Delacruz. As part of the management agreement, the ICC/IPs will be responsible for the livestock production and contruction and maintenance of the livestockfacility, among others.
NCIP Pampanga Community Service Center envisions sustainability by ensuring that all 4Ks will go through Integrated Ancestral Domains Development Approaches (IADDA) of IP Socio-Economic including food sovereignty, capacity-building for IPO, holistic development, convergence/whole-of-government, and community-based (ADSDPP).
