Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran Project for the Dumagat IPs

NCIP Bulacan Community Service Center attended this morning’s video conference of Bulacan Provincial Task Force – ELCAC Poverty Reduction, Livelihood and Employment Cluster (PRLEC). The meeting centered on the “Kabalikat sa Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran Project” or “K3” which envisions a holistic development for Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICCs) of the province. The meeting is hosted by TESDA Bulacan headed by Provincial Director Mr. Joven Ferrer.

Key component of K3 is additional technical skills for the IPs which will enable them to maximize the utilization of their Ancestral Domain for food production thereby contributing further in the economic development of the province. This will be a collaboration and convergence among PRLEC member agencies and the Indigenous Cultural Communities in Bulacan. Actively engaged in the meeting was NCIP Bulacan CSC Chief Regina Panlilio and two of her staff Ms. Nona De Vera and Mr. Karlunette Aglupus.

100 Dumagat IPs will be involved not just as mere beneficiaries but partners and owners of the K3 Project. PRLEC as one of the pillars of the NTF-ELCAC aims to empower our ICCs by harmonizing government socio-economic policies and plans and make them culturally responsive to their context and culture of our IPs.
