May 14, 2021 Another relief, slippers distribution, feeding program as well as medical mission with the theme “Malasakit sa Katutubo Kasi AKO IP”, was conducted by NCIP Tarlac thru the initiative and effort of our beloved Tribal Governor/USEC Commissioner Rolando M. Rivera to the IP families and children of So. Pisapungan, Sula, San Jose, Tarlac. With us, are staff from the Regional Office led by Dr. Emma P. Dionisio and Ernesto Galang, Tarlac and Bamban staff headed by OIC/PO Engr. Marcial P. Lengao. With him, A.O. IV Emily S. Maltizo, Nurse I Jocelyn W. Anastacio, Commissioner’s staff, Nursè Edel Capiendo, TAA II Lucy E. Arellano TAA I Dickerson L. Gutierrez TAA I Nora D. Reyes, A.A IV Gilbert D. Cuero, and A.A. I Richard V. Villegas. All wholeheartedly provided services to the IPs.
The number of beneficiaries for the relief, slippers and ice cream feeding more than 300 families and for the medical mission 80 benefited.
The reliefs came from the support of Commissioner Rivera’s friends like the PRRI, and Mr. Carlo Ladia and Rey David of CABALEN and Agumang Capampangan.
Representative from the Office of the Congressman, 3rd District, our IPMRs like IPMR Edna V. Villegas of Municipality of San Jose, IPMR Dario Jose of Municipality of Mayantoc, IPMR Joey Jose of Paquillao, Care, Tarlac City, IPMR Juanito Fallorin of Sula, the whole Tribal Council of Pisapungan headed by TC Romeo Tomas and barangay kagawads of Sula Barangay Council, and former DILG Narnola provided help and support.
This office is also grateful to the Pisapungan Elementary School headed by Mrs. Liza C. Gonzales and her entire faculty who managed the venue and program.
Also a brief Information Education Consultation on IPRA, the National Advisories on illegal selling of lands and securing of FPIC within the AD were explained by Engr. Lengao and Commisioner Rivera.
