MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT FERDINAND R MARCOS JR

MESSAGE OF PRESIDENT FERDINAND R MARCOS JR
My warmest greetings to the National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) as you publish this series of coffee table books for Project Epanaw.
Even as we advance the plight of our indigenous peoples and advocate for their rights, we continue to launch more books and other materials that recognize, preserve, and promote Filipino identity and ethnography.
I am thus proud of the accomplishments of the NCIP, including those that record and describe the identities, customs, traditions, festivals, and heritage of our indigenous communities, as well as highlight the areas where they live and continue to protect.
As these books also feature the beautiful destinations and colorful festivals developed by the communities, in partnership with the Tourism Development Board and the commission, I trust that our people will look into our indigenous groups in a new light and consider visiting their areas as part of our renewed push for the revitalization of our local tourism industry.
Rest assured that this administration remains steadfast in securing the welfare of our indigenous communities and ensuring that their way of life will be protected and preserved for generations to come.
I hope that the succeeding books that you will publish under Project Epanaw, will build on the amazing work of your collaborations, accelerate your drive to public service, and make lives better.
Congratulations and mabuhay kayong lahat!
FERDINAND R. MÁRCOS JR.
