NCIP Pampanga joins the Floridablanca Municipal Advisory Council meeting today!
Several prospects for ICCs/IPs development discussed during the meeting include:
1. Convening of the LGU Technical Working Group within this month for the Ancestral Domain Sustainable Development and Protection Plan (ADSDPP) formulation of CADT 57-A. Earlier this year, the Floridablanca Mayor Darwin Manalansan issued Executive Order No. 6, s. 2022 to commence the formulation of the said plan;
2. Inclusion of 30 Indigenous Peoples from CADT 57-A in the 4Ps Sustainable Livelihood Program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development granting Php 10,000.00 per capita;
3. Establishment of a Junior High School in Barangay Mawakat, and a Senior High School in Barangay Nabuclod, both inside CADT 57-A, to further support IP Education;
4. LGU assistance to the newly organized Mt. Ginilan Agricultural Cooperative in Mawakat through the Municipal Cooperative Office. The IP Cooperative recently became a partner of the Department of Agriculture Region 3 under the “Kabuhayan at Kaunlaran Para sa Kababayang Katutubo” or 4Ks Program.
Acting as the Council Chairperson, Vice Mayor Michael Galang also commended the NCIP for putting the Floridablanca ICCs/IPs back on track for holistic and inclusive development, citing the recent inauguration of Floridablanca IPHIC-ADMO he personally witnessed last June 17, 2022.
