NCIP, partners provide aid to 3,040 IP households in Aurora
CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, June 3 (PIA) — About 3,040 Indigenous Peoples households in Aurora received food and other relief assistance from National Commission on Indigenous Peoples (NCIP) and partners amid COVID-19 pandemic.
Personnel from the Provincial Office in Baler and two Community Service Centers in Calabgan and Dingalan coordinated with concerned local government units including the provincial government so that it would reach far-flung Indigenous Cultural Communities (ICC) of Ilongot, Dumagat, Alta, and Agta.
“We are working hand-in-hand with every Tribal Council through Chieftains and the duly selected Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives from the barangay, municipal and provincial level for sharing and updating of vital information to and from different ICCs in the province,” NCIP Regional Director Ruben Bastero said.
