CITY OF SAN FERNANDO–The National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 3 represented by Mr. Louis Genesis David – Regional Information Officer conducted a courtesy visit to the Local Chief Executive of Pampanga’s capital, City of San Fernando Hon. Mayor Vilma B. Caluag who personally received copies of the “NCIP Project EPANAW Coffee Table Books, namely, PAGKILALA (Recognition), PAGGALANG (Respect), and PAGTAGUYOD (Promote)”.
The NCIP Region 3 turned-over the CTBs to the CGO San Fernando, Pampanga to be able to give relevant information about the Indigenous Cultural Communities/Indigenous People (ICCs/IPs) residing in neighboring towns in the Province of Pampanga such as Floridablanca, Porac, and Mabalacat City as well as other provinces within Central Luzon. By sharing Project EPANAW, they can see the identities of our beloved ICCs/IPs, cultures and traditions, and the beautiful tourist destinations within their Ancestral Domains.
The City Government is planning to invite the ICCs/IPs to showcase their IP Culture and IP products at the Giant Lantern and Tourist Information Center (Paskuhan Village).
The LCE also vowed to support the anti-mendicancy campaigns through the joint efforts of Line Agencies and Local Government Units concerned.
