NCIP Tarlac COVID-19 Response
As of posting time, convergence efforts were be able to provide food and other relief assistance to 4,055 IP Households in the province of Tarlac.
With the assistance coming from National Government Agencies (NGAs) particularly the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), civil society groups such as the Assisi Foundation, Kabalikat CiviCom and Project Liwanag of the Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU), we were be able to distribute relief goods to different Barangays and Sitios within our Ancestral Domains.
Personnel from the Tarlac Provincial Office and the Bamban Community Service Center tirelessly coordinated with several Local Government Units (LGUs) including the Provincial Government of Tarlac over the period of more than 8 weeks not just for food but over other essential assistance such the Social Amelioration Program (SAP). NCIP Commissioner for Region 3 & Rest of Luzon Rolando Rivera is on top of the relief operations in partnership at the National, Regional, Provincial and even visible at the Community level.
Also played a key role in information dissemination and mobilization are the Indigenous Peoples Mandatory Representatives (IPMR), Tribal Councils and Indigenous Leaders.
