
Ocular Inspection last June 2, 2022
LOOK: Officers from the joint forces of National Commission on Indigenous Peoples Region 3 and NCIP Pampanga Community Service Center conducted an ocular inspection last June 2, 2022 on the alleged violation of the ICCs/IPs right to a Free, Prior, and Informed Consent (FPIC).
Acting upon a submitted complaint from leaders of the Ayta Mag-antsi ICCs/IPs of Mabalacat City (CAD 25-A) against a certain locator inside the Clark Freeport Zone, the NCIP will issue necessary reports and recommendations after full investigation has been dutifully conducted.
NCIP Administrative Order No. 3, Series of 2012 also know as the “The Revised Guidelines on Free, Prior, and Informed Consent and Related Processes”, strictly prohibits any concession, license, permit or lease, production-sharing agreement, or other undertakings affecting ancestral domains without going through the process laid down by law and this Guidelines.
