TINGNAN: Pormal na binuksan at sinimulan na ang Philippine Book Festival na ginanap sa World Trade Center sa Pasay, City.
Sa pangunguna ng National Book Development Board (NBDB), ang book festival na ito ay tinawag na “largest traveling Filipino book festival” kung saan highlight at tampok ang mga libro at akda ng mga Filipino authors at publishing houses.
“Where are our books in our diverse languages? Where are our books in our own context? We are here to change that. We are here, the National Book Development Board is here with you to ensure that we have access to reading materials for us,” pahayag ni NBDB Executive Director Charisse Aquino-Tugade.
Ang NBDB ay isang attached agency ng DepEd.
Dumalo sa book festival na ito sina DepEd Undersecretary for Curriculum and Teaching Gina Gonong, DepEd Undersecretary for Finance Annalyn Sevilla at mga partners ng event na ito tulad ng Book Development Association of the Philippines at Philippine Educational Publishers Association.
Bukas at libre sa publiko ang Philippine Book Festival, mula ngayong araw hanggang sa linggo, June 4, 2023 mula 10:00 ng umaga hanggang 9:00 ng gabi.
Bukod rito, ang susunod na Philippine Book Festival ay gaganapin sa SMX Davao mula August 18, 2023 hanggang August 20, 2023.
