RTF-ELCAC 3 CONVERGENCE EFFORT FOR IPs

PORAC, Pampanga–Today, the Regional Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict Region 3 (RTF-ELCAC 3) organized an outreach program for the Indigenous Peoples Community in the Municipality of Porac, Pampanga. The activity is spearheaded by the National Intelligence Coordinating Agency Region 3 in partnership with the member line agencies of RTF-ELCAC 3 which aims to reach out 200 IP families in the said Municipality. The initiative to reach out the IP Community in Porac, Pampanga is realized to make them feel the presence of the government and to know that it is working for them. This activity also aims to facilitate the withdrawal of support of some members to the Community Terrorist Group (CTG) – allied organization, the Central Luzon Aeta Association (CLAA) by burning the CPP-NPA-NDF flag and also a ceremonial signing of pledge of withdrawal of support to the leftist group. Also, former members IP members CPP-NPA-NDF gave their testimonial speeches on how they left the said group, urging their fellow IPs that they can freely talk to the government about their needs because it is more accessible now than ever before.

The tree planting activity, feeding program, and gift giving for Ayta IPs of Porac, Pampanga is led by RTF-ELCAC 3 line agencies: NICA, DOLE, TESDA, NCIP, PSWDO Pampanga, PNP, PAF, AFP, CDA, PIA, and NCP.
