The closing ceremony of the 22nd Session of the UN Permanent Forum for Indigenous Issues (PFII)
MY CONTINUING JOURNEY “EPANAW” WITH THE ICCs/IPs IN THE PHILIPPINES AND ALL OVER THE WORLD
28 April: The closing ceremony of the 22nd Session of the UN Permanent Forum for Indigenous Issues (PFII) tells me that indeed there’s still a lot to be done for the ICCs/IPs Struggle for their Rights.
What I will do & contribute for the ICCs/IPs Struggle & Journey in the Philippines will certainly have impact on ICCs/IPs Struggle all over the world especially in terms of best practices & framework to broaden & simplify our Information & Education Campaign (IEC) Advocacy for the ICCs/IPs Rights to really catch the heart & attention of everyone;
Am overwhelmed by the burning issues experienced by other ICCs/IPs all over the world. The voices from the ground (wilderness) must be heard. They are also and still Sons & Daughters of our living God and they also receive the saving grace from God.
Thus, they deserve recognition, respect, protection of their honor and dignity from all of mankind;
Am glad to know during the regional constructive dialogue, that the Philippines is the only country in Asia that recognizes and titled the land ownership of Indigenous Peoples. Thank you Lord!!!
Indeed, my experience in UN Geneva & UNHQ New York have broaden my perspective, narrative and commitment for Gods’ marginalized sons and daughters …. The Indigenous Peoples
